Wow, what a weekend! As you all know, I spent the past week spending time with my grandparents in North Carolina. They are getting ready to move, so we helped them pack and go through their house. On Friday, Omaha and the surrounding area got hit hard by a terrible storm. We had 95 mph straight line winds and tons of rain. Lucky, our home is okay. However, hundreds of other families are now homeless. Bellevue, which is about 15-20 minutes from my house, had major, major damage. The National Weather Service eventually decided that two tornados did hit Bellevue and were the cause of the destruction. Since our neighborhood is new construction, we have a lot of, you guessed it.. new construction! Unfortunately, we did have a house that was being framed completely collapse. They were just in the framing stage, but still.. I cannot imagine what they are feeling right now. During the storm, hundreds of power lines got damaged! Our power was out for two days and we just got it back late afternoon yesterday!

Find video footage of Bellevue here. The neighborhood that was hit by the tornado has a strong military presence.

This month has literally just been a blur.. moving into our home, traveling, work, and we leave AGAIN for a volleyball tournament a week from today. Currently, I just feel as I will forever be living out of boxes and nothing is going to get done.. ever. It is so stressful, but I just try to remind myself that it will get there. Therefore, I really just want to say THANK YOU to you. Yes, all of you. I have been blogging in this little space of ours for about 7 months now. You have no idea how much it means to me when y’all tell me you read my posts and more importantly, enjoy it! I have so many wonderful ideas for this little blog of mine, and I cannot wait to share them with you along the way. Thank you for your patience with me this month. The struggle has been real, and I truly would not have gotten through it without all of you. Please always feel free to contact me about anything.. fashion, beauty, or just life in general! If you unsure about an item or looking for a certain look.. shoot me an email and I would love to help out! {} Also, if you have something in mind that you would like to see on the blog, please email me your ideas! I am here for you! 🙂

Since summer, and the heat, are officially here, I thought I would share my favorite new swimwear brand. I posted this image on IG this past week, but I wanted to talk more about it on here. This past year, Victoria Secret started to sell out of their swimwear items. Personally, I was sooooo disappointed because I had no idea where I was going to purchase my new suit for the year! When I was at the Mall of America, I stopped into Aerie and the swimsuit gates opened! It was so hard choosing just one, but I had to go with this hi-neck style bikini. Just look at those poms! So adorable.

I purchased this suit in the store, and I am not able to find it online. Lame. BUT I found other options from Aerie below..

Finally, I paired my suit with these Tory Burch Miller sandals and a GiGi New York Clutch. Alright, so these sandals are definitely on the high price range, but you guys, they are totally worth every penny. I probably wear them at least once a day. The colour that I have is ‘make-up’ and it is like a matte nude. I am definitely in the market for another colour.. I am either going to go with the bleach, dark grey, vintage leather, or samba! So.Many.Choices! For the sizing, Nordstrom suggests to size up a half size, but some people say that they are true to size. For my shoe size, I go between a 9.5 and a 10. I ordered a 10 in these sandals, and love the fit. At first, I found them hard to wear because my feet are super skinny, but now I am totally used to them and they are super comfortable! Like I said above, they are expensive but 100% worth it.
