I’mmmm backkkkk! Hi friends! So sorry I was not able to post on Thursday! Ever since our big move on Tuesday, my life consisted of cardboard boxes and no wifi. Yesterday, my parents and I flew to North Carolina to visit my grandparents for the week! They are actually preparing to move full-time to Florida so we are helping them get their house ready! 🙂

I am so excited to share todays post with you because I feel like it is something people always struggle with.. dressing for a wedding. It can be super stressful for a guest to find the perfect look to wear! Hopefully none of the weddings you are attending have mandatory outfit changes like Pippa Middleton did, but if they do.. you will be prepared!

When preparing an outfit for a wedding, here are the key items you need to know before starting.. First, where is the location of the event, this includes the ceremony and reception. No one likes to be walking in grass with heels {go with a block heel if the event is outside!} on or showing too much skin in a church.

Second, what is going to be the dress code. Every couple is going to be different on this. If they do not their dress code on the invitation, than my advice to you is to dress how you would want someone to dress at your wedding. Would you want someone to wear jeans to your wedding? Probably not.. If a couple does have their dress code on their invite, stick to it! If it is black tie or casual, do what the couple asks.. it is their day!

Third, make sure to wear a neutral colour palette. Example.. wearing a neon dress is going to stand out in pictures of the ceremony and reception, no one wants that. Keeping your look cute and casual shows people that you are fashionable, yet keeping the focus on the bride.

The dress I am sharing today is by Soprano and I purchased it from Nordstrom. It is currently out of stock, but here is another option! I love this dress for a wedding because the cream and navy keep my colours to a minimal, but adding my pink Kate Spade clutch adds a bit sparkle to the look, find a similar style here. My pumps are by Sam Edelman and they are the softest shoes ever! I can wear these all night and my feet do not hurt one bit! The soles of these pumps are literally fluffy. These pumps are currently under $60 too!! All items are true to size.

Here are more dress and shoe options below…
