Happy Memorial Day! A few years ago my grandma and I went to France and on our tour, we stopped in Normandy. We all know that I am a Parisian at heart so Paris was incredible. However, seeing Omaha Beach and the American cemeteries literally takes your breath away. Our tour guide that day was a British General so the stories he told us about D-Day and certain soldiers at their grave was unforgettable. I will never forget it. Memorial Day is not just about the current men and women serving, but about all of the heroes that allow us to do what we do. I am not going to get all political on you, but freedom is not free. Thousands of men and women are taken away from their families EVERY.SINGLE.DAY for you. Yes, just let that sink in. Please thank a solider when you see them. I know you might feel awkward doing this, but friends, they need to know that we are thankful for them. How privileged are we that our country protects us like they do? The only word that comes to my mind is grateful. Grateful for my grandpas, my dad, my uncle, my cousins, my friends, and your families service to our Country. I would not be able to live out my dreams if it was not for them and millions more. Thank you. I am so proud to be an American.

Since Memorial Day is the start of summer, I am sharing this Palm Print matching set {shorts and top}. I have never worn a matching set before, but this was too cute to pass up. Definitely great for a beach or lake day, baseball game, or date night. The material is super thin and perfect for those hot summer days. If you are not into matching, no worries. This top would be adorable with denim, white, or colourful shorts. You could wear these shorts with pretty much any top that you have in your closet! The palm print would add a fun little twist to your look. Even though I love to match the prints, I will definitely be wearing this separate too. So really, I can create at least three different looks with two pieces! #winning

Since the print is pretty bold, I kept my details simple. I am wearing my BP. Cork wedges {similar here}, a gold bar necklace, Kendra Scott earrings, and Alex and Ani bracelets. I am carrying my whipping post tote! My sunnies are Quay Australia Stray Cat in Peach!
