It is the last day of August, which means booties and blanket scarves are upon us! With the fall coming, it also means that fashion weeks all over the world are starting up. I had the pleasure of attending Omaha Fashion Week last Friday with other Omaha blogger babes and we had such a fun time together.
When it comes to major fashion weeks, it all starts in New York on September 7th. Then London. Then Milan. & finally Paris, which ends October 3rd. It is definitely on the bucket list to attend NYFW. You can find all Fashion Week information and a couple of lifestreams, here!
Note: Fashion week is always six months ahead. Therefore, spring/summer is shown in September/October and fall/winter is shown in February/March.
Omaha Fashion Week is celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year and Friday was the Homecoming show. The show was focused around looks from each year at Omaha Fashion Week. Seeing all of the fashion and designers from the previous years was interesting, but honestly, it was not very entertaining for me. For the next anniversary show for OFW, I would suggest to have models all around the venue on stands representing each year/designer. I am sure I would of felt differently if I went to more then one night because I would have been able to see the new looks and designers. I will definitely be attending more nights in the Spring!
One thing I absolutely love about Omaha Fashion Week is the venue, the Omaha Design Center. The Omaha Design Center was opened in 2016 and is the home of OFW. Before the design center opened, OFW was held in a big white tent around downtown Omaha, definitely not ideal. This venue definitely took OFW to the next level. The location is perfect and the venue is absolutely stunning!
For this next look, each piece was inspired by a painting. SO UNIQUE! This was definitely my favorite collection from the past.

The best part of fashion week is going with these gals! 🙂
